Black Ops to Serve as Template for Future Call of Duty Games

Information technology's Treyarch, and not series creators Infinity Ward, that will follow setting the pace for the Bid of Duty series.

According to Activision CEO Bobby Kotick, Treyarch's upcoming Emotionless War shooter Scream of Duty: Black Ops is a roadmap to what the next five years worth of Birdsong of Duty games wish be like.

Speech production at the Deutsche Bank 2010 Technology Conference, Kotick said that Coloured Ops showed polish off both the visual style of future games, you said it they stories and characters would be cast in collaboration. Future releases would improve happening the quality, and the games would become more cinematic, with Sir Thomas More in-profundity and "genuine" plots. He also said that Proceed and Kinect would allow the integration of motion and voice controls, bringing big changes to the gameplay.

But Kotick made it clear that new ideas would be added too, and mentioned the wager matches – four back modes in Black Ops that earmark players to take chances in-game vogue along their match performance – as an example of one surface area where the Call of Obligation series was innovating. He also said that DLC was going to play a big part in the proximo of Foretell of Tariff, and that Activision would be stepping skyward its resign schedule for new content.

Without actually playing Black Ops it's hard to say whether its use as a guide is good or penitent. It certainly sounds good, but we'll have to wait and see. It's also going to be interesting to picture what Infinity Montgomery Ward or Sledgehammer do if Black Ops is going to be their manner pass.

Melanise Ops is coming out for Wii, Xbox 360, PC and PS3 on November 9th.
